 My Most successful Digital Art Piece      During my senior year, I decided to take an AP art class. Throughout the school year, you work independently on your portfolio to submit to the dashboard for grading. I was mainly focused on traditional art, but I struggled with getting the colors right, and my pieces felt very dull. Halfway through the semester, I decided to teach myself digital art.      While teaching myself, I learned to use layers properly and experimented with the settings in IbisPaint X. During the creation of my artwork, I struggled to create a smooth blend of colors. I tried using the smudge tool provided, but it often ruined my colors or their placement. What worked much better for me was the blur tool. Tricks I've Learned from my Classmates      In this post I'll be learning some new tricks from my classmate's tutorial with their step by step.      First tutorial: Crayola marker watercolor  https://ddartjourney.blogspot.com/2025/10/time-for-my-tutorial.html      The tutorial provided a step-by-step guide on how to use Crayola markers to create a watercolor drawing. I decided to make a landscape scene with a grassy field, mountains, a tree, and a lake. I had no idea that you could use markers to create a watercolor effect! I started by placing colors on the page where I wanted everything and then blended them together with water. Afterward, I added more details with the markers, blended them again. I attempted to create a reflection of the sun on the water. It was such a fun project to try and learn from.
