What I've Learned from my Classmates
Tricks I've Learned from my Classmates
In this post I'll be learning some new tricks from my classmate's tutorial with their step by step.
First tutorial: Crayola marker watercolor https://ddartjourney.blogspot.com/2025/10/time-for-my-tutorial.html
The tutorial provided a step-by-step guide on how to use Crayola markers to create a watercolor drawing. I decided to make a landscape scene with a grassy field, mountains, a tree, and a lake. I had no idea that you could use markers to create a watercolor effect! I started by placing colors on the page where I wanted everything and then blended them together with water. Afterward, I added more details with the markers, blended them again. I attempted to create a reflection of the sun on the water. It was such a fun project to try and learn from. I will definitely use this technique if I ever need a watercolor effect.
Second tutorial: Digital Art Photography https://daisyprizo.blogspot.com/2025/10/mixed-media-tutorial-digital-art-and.html
This tutorial explains how to make a photo more interesting by creating your own background using IbisPaintX. I'm quite familiar with this app since it's the only free one I enjoy and understand. I didn't know you could use the magic wand to remove the background, but it didn't work on my photo because there was too much color variation, making it hard to remove. So, I used Background Erase instead. I created a background with a balloon-like effect and then mirrored the image because I felt the layout suited my photo better. This was such an enjoyable project that I would use it for my personal posts to make them stand out.
